Denise Beck received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1995 from Northeastern University, located in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked for 21 years as a bedside nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Trauma Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Pediatric Trauma Emergency Room, and Mother-Baby Unit (MBU). During this time, she was a travel nurse for eight years working in various states around the USA. Furthermore, in 2005, Denise did disaster relief nursing in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina & Rita.
Denise is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and an Accredited Case Manager - RN (ACM-RN). She has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Sugar Temperature Airway Blood Pressure Lab work Emotional Support (S.T.A.B.L.E.), Basic Life Support (BLS), Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and a PALS and BLS Instructor. Denise has also worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant and was an active member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). Currently, she is working as a clinical instructor for a local college and completing her Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN).
